e-shopping Terms and conditions Returns - We ask our customers to immediately check goods which arrive by courier or Royal Mail. Any discrepancies must be reported to computer-care within 24 hours of receipt. If a package looks damaged or opened please refuse the delivery. Before returning any items they must be authorised by computer-care. We reserve the right to charge a 25% re-stocking fee for any items which are returned unauthorised or as unwanted. Software Sales - Software can only be returned if the package is unopened. This is to protect the manufacturer with their copyrights. VAT-Tax - Vat @ 15% shall be added at the checkout General Terms and Warranties. All new components sold by COMPUTER-CARE.CO.UK include a 12 month return to base warranty and all 2nd user and re-furbished components a 30 day return to base warranty unless otherwise stated. COMPUTER-CARE.CO.UK reserves the right to void any claim if deliberate damage or misuse of goods be detected. Warranty does not cover software installation, software faults or damage due to power surges. The end user is always responsible for his/her own data backups and due to the nature of computer servicing COMPUTER-CARE.CO.UK will not compensate for any data loss unless under the terms of a specialised written contract. Due to the nature of software licences and hardware components please assume all sales are final and refunds may only be given under our discretion. Refunded items may carry a re-stocking and admin fee of no less than 25%. Unpaid cheques carry a minimum £25.00 admin fee & costs. Our terms do not affect your statutory rights.
COMPUTER-CARE.CO.UK reserves the right to replace faulty components with components of equivalent quality or value. Whereby we shall endeavour to try and match the equipment there may be occasions when we are unable to do so. The same terms apply to our own and other branded computer systems. If we are unable to replace identical parts or computers due to availability or because major fluctuated costs are involved we shall replace with a similar item. COMPUTER-CARE.CO.UK will often replace faulty parts with better and more advanced components however this will be solely down to our discretion taking into account availability, cost, warranty status etc. COMPUTER-CARE.CO.UK promises never to replace any component or machine with any technically inferior item.
Cosmetic damage, wear and tear and plastics are not covered under the terms of warranty. If a machine or component is seen as damaged when purchased it is the responsibility of the customer to report this immediately. New Notebook/Laptop batteries have a special limited warranty of 3 months unless otherwise specified.
Often warranties are covered by manufactures onsite cover which may in turn be more beneficial to the customer saving time on turnaround and your own travelling costs. The following numbers may be of help.

Compatibility Issues
Compatibility meaning any hardware device or software which will not function as expected due to a device or software conflict. Any such issue must be reported as soon as possible and no later than 7 days after purchase. Issues arising from customers upgrading their own systems such as hardware and or software will be seen as your responsibility to contact the relevant manufacturer.
Internet and email issues
Our most common support calls relate to internet and email issues. Almost without exception these calls are due to issues relating to the internet service provider. We ask that our customers contact their ISP Internet service provider in the first instance. However should you prefer that COMPUTER-CARE.CO.UK makes an initial diagnosis or should you have no luck with your ISP then please contact us We shall do our very best to help you however without guarantees. Please ensure that you have your internet details at hand. For example your username, email address, access numbers.
